[ Compromise is offering her a (very tasty) pork chop while he looks her over, pulls a kid's sweater out of the duffel, and holds it up for size. It's about right. But she needs a bath first, and he already knows the bedding in her room needs changing, and the bathroom corner.... ]

You could use a bath, huh?

[She shrugs, chowing down on the meat. When she finishes it, she reaches forward with her messy fingers, wanting to get a closer look at the sweater.]

Nuh uh, it's clean and you're dirty.

[ He puts it down, tugging out some other things -- there's more clothes about her size, and clean sheets and a stuffed bear. But all of it is clean and Lilly is not. ]

[fuckingwolverine]

[She licks her fingers off-- that makes them clean, right?-- then tries for it again.]

[ He'll let her get away with that as 'clean hands' and let her touch the presents; the clothes are soft and warm, the bedding is just a clean set from Hel hall so it's the same. Kieran pulls out a container of peas for Lilly and waits for her to finish testing fabrics. ]

[After she's examined everything-- touching it, tugging at it, sniffing it-- she looks up, and nods.]

Kieran.

[Her pronunciation is a bit slurred, but it's recognizable as his name.]

[ He tilts his head, uncertain what she said at first just because he wasn't expecting it... Then he nods and repeats his name more clearly. ]

Kieran.

[fuckingwolverine]

[She nods again. Yup, that's what she said.]

[felttheburn]

[ She actually gets a smile; possibly his first actual smile since he wound up back in Asgard. ]

You've gotta wash up first, though. No point puttin' clean clothes on when you're dirty.

[ Here, have the peas. ]

[She's had peas before, and thinks they're okay-- not nearly as good as the meat, but still edible. She eats them, albeit more slowly.]

[ Be glad it's not the carrots, Lilly. Though he's got more of everything in the food bag, and chicken, and applesauce with stealth vegetables courtesy of Ryan, and cookies.

He waits for her verdict on the bath before approaching the subject of her room and bedding. ]

[She keeps eating, but more slowly; halfway through the serving of chicken, she stops. and looks up at Kieran. She's full.]

You stalling, kiddo?

[fuckingwolverine]

[She shakes her head, patting her stomach.]

[felttheburn]

Okay, go put it in the fridge so it'll be there for you later. [ He holds out the food container again and puts it all back in the bag. ] Then it's bathtime.

[She drags the bag over to the hall's kitchen area and shoves it into the fridge. Then she turns towards Kieran and frowns, thinking.]

Baff?

[She's not sure how she feels about that.]

Yeah, bath.

[ Look at this lovely soft warm sweater don't you want it? ]

[In a hopeful tone:]

Swim?

[felttheburn]

...it's too cold out, little one. Bath.

[fuckingwolverine]

[Lame.

Well, at least baths are sort of like swimming. She decides to go along with it without resistance, heading back over to Kieran. She has no clue where the tub even is; she hasn't set foot in her suit's bathroom.

[ He stands up, holding out his hand to be led. ]

Show me your room. There's a bathroom in there.

[fuckingwolverine]

[She looks at his hand, and starts to slowly raise hers to take it... but at the last second, scampers on ahead instead, going towards the stairs.]

[ He's not bothered (baby steps!), just slings the duffel back over his shoulder and follows her, glad it wasn't more of a fight to be shown to her room. ]

[She clambers up the stairs quickly; when she gets to her room door, she turns around to look back at Kieran.]

[ He's a few steps behind her, intentionally... don't crowd the feral kid. He stops at her side, waiting for her to open the door. What is it, Lilly? ]
