[In honor of the Earth holiday centering on love, Freya sends out a little gift around this time.
A small box containing a piece of chocolate will appear on your pillow during the day. When consumed, the chocolate’s magic will lift your mood for a short period of time. It’s accompanied by a note.]
Where love might bring about sorrow, it also welcomes joy.
[ Things have been sort of crazy in Asgard, huh, kid? Between the powers going haywire and the storm and the announcement about Odin... Kieran's remembered to check his messages to see if there was anything from Lilly, but hasn't gone to track her down. When things settle he thinks to check the list of Travelers on the network and is vaguely disappointed when he sees that her name is still there. The little girl is still in the city... probably still without her mama. Probably still without anyone looking after her. He doesn't feel guilty for not dropping in, that's just stupid, but there's something there. Writing it off as anger at the gods for keeping the kid trapped, Kieran sends Lilly a message. He leaves a video in case she doesn't remember his voice. ]
[She's in her room! It looks a bit messier and less clean than it did before, and it's pretty clear that she's still using the corner as a toilet.
Lilly herself is under the bed, the fitted sheet hanging over the edge like a curtain. Upon seeing Kieran, she sticks a hand out and waves her fingers at him.]
[ ...damnit, kid. He gets the feeling that she hasn't ventured out much besides to get food, and squints at the feed to try and see if she's at least bathed. ]
[N o p e. Bathing is not a thing that she does very much.
She turns and points to the wall next to the bed, which is covered in crayon drawings. It's mostly typical six-year-old stuff like stick figures, bare-bones trees, and square houses, but there are a few more unusual things as well: a bunch of grey moths, and in the center of it all, a large patch of harsh black scribbles.]
[ Kieran doesn't say anything for a moment, trying to figure the best way to approach this subject... He's no good with people to start with, and Lilly's not going to like what he has to say.
Maybe it would be easier in person. ]
How about you come downstairs and let me in again? You hungry?
[ Nope, quid pro quo, kiddo. Kieran closes the door and comes in; he's got a much bigger bag than last time, and a duffel on his shoulder. He crouches down to Lilly's level and makes a c'mere motion. Let's take a look at your state. ]
[ Compromise is offering her a (very tasty) pork chop while he looks her over, pulls a kid's sweater out of the duffel, and holds it up for size. It's about right. But she needs a bath first, and he already knows the bedding in her room needs changing, and the bathroom corner.... ]
[ He puts it down, tugging out some other things -- there's more clothes about her size, and clean sheets and a stuffed bear. But all of it is clean and Lilly is not. ]
[ He'll let her get away with that as 'clean hands' and let her touch the presents; the clothes are soft and warm, the bedding is just a clean set from Hel hall so it's the same. Kieran pulls out a container of peas for Lilly and waits for her to finish testing fabrics. ]
