[ Gabriel stops when she does, seeing the movement a moment after her. From his vantage point, he can see a bit of light blue skin behind the grass. The boar hasn't caught onto them yet- if Gabriel had to guess, it's digging in the mud next to the water.

He leans down and whispers to Lilly. ]

Go on. I'll hold it for you.

[ This is going to be messy, but sometimes the best hunts end that way. ]

[With a sudden burst of speed, Lilly crashes out of the cover of the underbrush and into the pond, bodily throwing herself at the very surprised boar. She's completely fearless here, trusting Gabriel to have her back as she clambers up onto the squealing animal's back and starts to stab haphazardly.]

[ As soon as the boar starts, Gabriel's holding its legs in place with his telekinesis. The result is a loud protesting squeal, as well as a lot of attempted bucking to get the offending attacker off. It's not terribly effective when the poor thing can't raise its legs, but it's trying.

He watches her attempts at stabbing, walking closer. Only after he gets within ten feet does he give her any advice. So far, the boar is oozing blood from a couple spots, but is clearly just a little injured.

He raises his voice, to hopefully be heard over the commotion. ]

Remember that spot I showed you? Under the chin.

[Oh, yeah; good idea. Switching tactics, she scrambles off the animal and zips around it, mindful of its feet (she doesn't know about the telekinesis, after all). Then she ducks under its chin and stabs it in the throat.]

[ Her caution around the feet is appreciated- after all, it's hard to tell when telekinesis is being used or not, much of the time.

The stab in the throat is far more effective than the ones she'd tried in its hide. The boar makes an ungodly noise and Lilly will find herself getting rather generously splattered with blood. Gabriel walks closer as the creature begins to sway. It looks a little odd with the feet frozen in place. ]

Great job, Lilly. Now don't let it fall on you.

[ Not that he suspects she will. It is, however, a warning, because he's going to let it go entirely as it tips to the side. ]

[At which point she triumphantly leaps on top of it, perching on its side and turning to Gabriel with the biggest grin in the world on her blood-soaked face. She sticks her tongue out, swiping it over her upper lip to lick some off.]

[ He wishes he had a camera right now, he really does. The big grin on his face right now, mirroring Lilly's, might give away how proud he is of her. ]

Way to show that pig who's boss.

Want me to cut it up for you, make it easier to get to the best parts?

Yeah.

[She's going to help, but she'll take direction from him.]

[ When it becomes clear she wants to help, he decides not to take the usual method he uses- instead he'll walk up and crouch down to take a good look at the animal.

He shows her the various parts he's going to cut, and then he points and it practically cuts itself. Of course, if she's looking like she wants to try on her own, he'll let her.
After making the big slice down the torso, it's all disgusting work, but he's fairly sure she's not going to mind. And heck, he can get into it, too. There's something satisfying about getting truly messy every so often.

He helps take out the organs, identifying what they are and whether they taste good or yucky. Anything that's good will be set up a few feet in the air, floating as it waits to be taken home. It's not too hard to concentrate on these few items. ]

[She'll look up at the floating organs, but oddly enough, doesn't seem at all shocked or surprised by them. Some people can make things float; no big deal. When they're nearly done with the gutting, she'll even point to them, asking:]

Me? Can-- can you do it to me like that?

[ She takes it so normally that he just continues with his lesson. By the time she asks the question, he's actually a little surprised. He looks sideways, as if someone is going to burst through the trees and lecture him- then he grins. ]

What? Like this?

[ He turns his palm towards the sky and slowly raises it, and Lilly will find herself being tugged up as if in a harness. Her legs and arms are totally free to move. He raises her a couple of feet in the air, just to see how she feels about it. ]

[Absolutely like that. She giggles and grins, waving her arms and legs around wildly, sort of like she does when she's splashing around in the water.]

[ Gabriel lets out an easy laugh and raises her a couple more feet. He also will let her roll her shoulders and will lightly roll her to one side or another, depending on how she's wriggling.

He's basically allowing for maximum flailing, if she wants that. ]

[She absolutely wants that. She'll even reach for him at one point, aiming to playfully tug at his hair.]

[ See, he thought she might want that. He helps her to roll around in the air, and when she tugs on his hair he goes "aahh!" while grinning. She'll find his hair is actually fairly long (he just slicks it back), so she can grab onto quite a bit. ]

Holding on tight so you don't float away, huh? Good plan.

Mama did that.

[She says suddenly, twisting to and fro in the air.]

Like this.

[ Oh. His expression softens a bit, laughter muted as he realizes. No wonder it wasn't weird for her. ]

She did?

Was it just like this? Or more-

[ He swirls a finger in the air, and sort of lazily twirls her, in the direction she'd been twisting. ]

[She grins, delighted.]

Both! And--

[She's going to attempt to do a full somersault here.]

[ He will help her, making it a double. ]

Ah, so we're going both ways, then.

[ He'll 'loosen up his grip' on the vertical axis, too, in that case, and let her roll any which way she desires for a bit. He's really getting the hang of it now. ]

[She'll keep up with it for a few minutes, but she's seven, and she has the attention span to match. Eventually, she'll scrabble her arms in the direction of the ground, her focus going back to the boar.]

Let's eat it.

[ Oh, hey look. It's that bridge he was going to cross later. He lets her back on the ground as she reaches for it, and hmmms as he stares at the meat. ]

Okay. Let's go cook it.

[ And he turns to head back to his house, fully expecting she'll protest this. ]

[Even though she could have - should have - fully expected this, she absolutely does protest.]

No!

[She says, wrinkling her nose and shaking her head.]

Eat it like this, an' we won't get sick.

[ He stops and looks back to her. That's an interesting claim. ]

We won't?

[ He keeps his body language open, clearly willing to listen. ]

[She shakes her head, firmly.]

It's not rotten and it's not people.

[Eating people makes you sick. She learned this from Sherlock.]

[ Someone's been teaching her some very important lessons, clearly. He quirks an eyebrow at her, then glancing back at the meat. ]

You're right on both counts. How about this? We have some of it now, and the rest I'll cook. That way it won't have a chance to rot.

But I don't usually eat it like this, so you'll have to show me how its done.

[ He wishes Zangetsu were still around for this. The guy would probably have appreciated Lilly a lot.

Gabriel points at a floating cut that came from the shoulder, and telekinetically removes about a pound of meat from it. It floats down towards the girl. ]
