[ And he turns to head back to his house, fully expecting she'll protest this. ]

[Even though she could have - should have - fully expected this, she absolutely does protest.]

[She says, wrinkling her nose and shaking her head.]

[ He stops and looks back to her. That's an interesting claim. ]

[ He keeps his body language open, clearly willing to listen. ]

[ Someone's been teaching her some very important lessons, clearly. He quirks an eyebrow at her, then glancing back at the meat. ]

You're right on both counts. How about this? We have some of it now, and the rest I'll cook. That way it won't have a chance to rot.

But I don't usually eat it like this, so you'll have to show me how its done.

[ He wishes Zangetsu were still around for this. The guy would probably have appreciated Lilly a lot.

Gabriel points at a floating cut that came from the shoulder, and telekinetically removes about a pound of meat from it. It floats down towards the girl. ]

[She takes a split second to consider the offer, then nods. Hope your stomach is ready for this, Gabriel, because she immediately rips into the chunk of meat with her hands and teeth.]

[ He hopes he's ready for this, too. If nothing else, his regeneration ability should take care of any incoming issues, but how gross is it going to be? He uses his telekinesis to rip a small chunk off the block of meat she's eating and pops it in his mouth.

It doesn't taste like much, honestly. The subtle flavor makes some sense, as does the juiciness. It's at least not hitting him immediately as disgusting. ]

Huh. Not bad.

[She grins at his approval, even bouncing in place a little. Clearly, this means that he fully understands now, and he'll never get after her about cooking meat again. Right?]

[ Hah. Yeah, no. But he does smile back, taking another bite and wiping his chin.

He won't take anymore beyond that. If she wants to eat the rest of it, he'll leave her to it. ]
